This is probably some of tge freshest, tastiest food I've ever had. My family enjoys all the dishes from pho, to vermicelli bowls, noodles, spring rolls and this DELICIOUS STIR FRY DISH! Always great , friendly service and enjoyable atmosphere. It's always in our regular restaurant rotation. Stop by! UPDATE 11/16/25: They got a new chef and I can't believe it, but EVERYTHING we ordered tasted even better than before! The Pho was THE BEST I've had so far in SA! Keep up the good work!
Went with a buddy of mine since he and his Dad loves the place. I can see why, as I enjoyed the experience as well! I ordered enough, as usual, as to have leftovers. - Sesame Chicken with steamed rice - x2 Beef Eye Round and Steak? without the tendon... (i cant do it...) The food was great! Large serving size and delicious sesame chicken. The atmosphere was nice with the decor and the service members were attentive. I will hope to go back again to experience more as my pallete has grown.
I had the fried wontons and Bún bò Huế. The wontons didn't have much flavor but they were fried crispy and packed with meat. The Bún bò Huế came in a huge bowl filled with meats and noodles, flavorful and lightly spicy broth, and a plate full of herbs and bean sprouts on the side. Good service, clean restaurant, and enjoyed the music.
I have lived in San Antonio my whole life, and have been a pho addict ever since I was a child. I have been pretty loyal to one spot here in SA for years, But today I tried Pho Saigon, and I can not explain how amazing my first visit was! We walked in around 11:30, and there was still some open seating still. But as soon as 12 o'clock hit, that place was flooding in with people! (Which is always a good sign) We were greeted by very friendly faces, Who also had no problem answering any questions we had about the menu. The Rangoons were INCREDIBLE!! Not your traditional shape, but they had plenty of filling, and were so warm, light and crispy. Now for the pho- hands down probably the biggest and most flavorful bowl that I have had in a very long time. The portions are very generous, and I definitely loved all of the steak that mine and my daughters bowls had. The basil was a very fresh as well as the sprouts. The limes were extremely juicy. I also love that they have fountain drinks, and not just can! (That is a big pet peeve of mine) I cannot say more good things about our first experience at this establishment. Their menu had so many options! This is a must try!
If you miss the typical early morning rush in Sai Gon, then you should have breaskfast at Sai Gon Pho. Not only the bún mọc tastes so like the taste in Sai Gon, the broken rice dish tastes as good as well. On top of that, the service is super fast. Staffs are super friendly. A plus is that it's a baby-friendly restaurant.
I had pad Thai, so I’ll review that. My friends had pho and I really can’t remember what the other dish was called. All good was excellent. The only complaint I’d have about my pad Thai was the amount of oil. Felt there was just a tad bit much, but not enough to really knock a star off. Just a personal opinion. Food was extremely fresh and plentiful portions. Spice level was perfect. Will come back again.
This was our first time here and I have to say it was beyond good!! My partner had the OX tail pho and I had the curry soup with rice and YUMMY! Both my kids had the beef pho and loved it! We will be back for sure!!
